Calacatta Sintered Stone Sydney: The Full Range at Our Alexandria Showroom

Calacatta is the most searched benchtop aesthetic in Australia. We carry one of Sydney's widest ranges of Calacatta sintered stone at our Alexandria showroom, all at full 1600 by 3200mm...

Calacatta is the surface that changed what Sydney homeowners expect from a kitchen benchtop. The white base, the bold veining, the sense of genuine luxury without asking anything of you in return. We carry what is likely the most comprehensive Calacatta sintered stone range in Sydney, seven distinct designs across our Heritage Marble Series, each with its own character, its own movement, and its own way of reading light.

This is not a range where you pick white or off-white and call it done. Each Calacatta design we carry has a personality. Choosing the right one for your specific kitchen, your cabinetry colour, your orientation, and your scale, is what the showroom visit is for. Here is the full range.

How to Choose Your Calacatta

Seven Calacatta designs sounds like a lot until you stand in front of them at full 1600 by 3200mm size and see how differently each one reads. At that scale, Calacatta Gold and Calacatta Luxury are not variations on a theme, they are different surfaces with different personalities, suited to different kitchens.

The warmth of the veining is the first decision. Gold and Supremo run warm, their veining has yellow and honey tones that pair beautifully with timber cabinetry and bring warmth to a south-facing kitchen. Verona, Platinum, and Hermitage run cool, with grey and silver tones that suit white and charcoal joinery and work strongly in a north-facing kitchen with abundant light. Butterfly sits in between, a surface that is warm in some lights and cool in others, which is part of its appeal.

The scale of the veining is the second decision. Supremo and Luxury have the most dramatic, large-scale veining. Hermitage and Butterfly have the most refined, architectural movement. Gold and Verona are the classic mid-point, bold enough to read across the room, restrained enough to not overwhelm a moderate-sized kitchen.

Come to the showroom with your cabinetry colour and your floor sample. We will put them against each Calacatta design and the right one will become immediately clear.

Why Sintered Stone Calacatta Outperforms Genuine Marble

Genuine Calacatta marble from the Apuan Alps quarries is extraordinarily beautiful. It is also calcium carbonate, which means acids etch it permanently. Lemon juice, wine, tomato, and vinegar leave marks in genuine marble that cannot be cleaned away. They must be honed or professionally restored.

Every Calacatta design in our Heritage Marble Series is sintered stone. Non-porous. No sealing. No etching. No staining. Handles heat directly from the cooktop. UV-stable for outdoor applications. The surface you install today will look identical in twenty years.

All Heritage Marble Series slabs are 1600 x 3200mm, 20mm thickness, velvet finish, and include a 10-year material warranty and 5-year fabrication guarantee as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Calacatta design is most popular in Sydney?
Calacatta Gold remains our most consistently specified design for Eastern Suburbs and North Shore kitchens. Calacatta Supremo is the most popular choice for large island kitchens in the Hills District. Calacatta Butterfly is the preferred choice for clients who want the Calacatta look with a more restrained, refined character.

Can I see all seven Calacatta designs at your showroom?
Yes. All seven Heritage Marble Series Calacatta designs are displayed at full 1600 by 3200mm at our Alexandria showroom. This is the only way to understand the difference between them and make the right choice for your kitchen.

Can Calacatta sintered stone be used for a bathroom as well as a kitchen?
Yes. All seven designs work beautifully in bathroom vanity tops, shower niches, and feature walls. Using the same Calacatta through both the kitchen and bathroom creates a cohesive material language that interior designers specify intentionally.

What is the difference between 12mm and 20mm Calacatta?
Our Heritage Marble Series Calacatta designs are 20mm, which is the standard for kitchen benchtops. The additional thickness gives a more substantial profile and is required for waterfall edges and overhangs. We also carry Carrara White in a 12mm version for cladding and splashback applications.

What warranty is included?
Every Heritage Marble Series slab includes a 10-year material warranty and a 5-year fabrication guarantee. Supply, fabrication, and installation are managed by one team under a single warranty.
