Double Bay renovations do not compromise. The suburb has always had an expectation of quality that runs through every aspect of how its homes are presented, and the kitchen is no exception. When Double Bay homeowners come to us, they know what they want: a surface that is genuinely premium, that will look as considered in ten years as it does on the day of installation, and that does not require the kind of ongoing maintenance that takes the pleasure out of owning something beautiful.
Sintered stone and the finest natural stone surfaces we carry are both answers to that brief. The question is which one is right for your specific home and how you live in it.
The Double Bay Standard
Double Bay is one of Sydney's most design-literate suburbs. The renovation market here is sophisticated. Clients have typically done their research, they have seen the European surfaces in the architecture publications they follow, and they arrive knowing the difference between a surface that looks premium and one that is premium.
We take that seriously. Our Alexandria showroom does not carry entry-level surfaces positioned at the premium end of their market. Everything we display is genuinely at the top of its category. The Calacatta sintered stone surfaces we carry are the kind that interior designers in Double Bay have been specifying for years. The natural quartzite and marble we supply is selected for character rather than consistency.
Sintered Stone or Natural Stone for a Double Bay Home?
This is the question we work through with every Double Bay client, and the honest answer is that it depends on how you use the space.
If you cook seriously, if you have children, if your kitchen sees genuine daily use, sintered stone is the most intelligent choice. It handles heat, it does not stain, it does not need sealing, and it looks as good in twenty years as it does on the day of installation. It is also the only surface that can move from your indoor kitchen to your outdoor entertaining area without a change of material.
If your kitchen is designed as much as it is used, if you want the genuinely irreplaceable character of real stone with its movement and its depth, and if you are prepared to seal and care for it accordingly, we have natural marble and quartzite that will take your breath away at full slab size.
We will give you an honest assessment of both at your consultation. We do not push one over the other. We help you choose what is right for your home.
What We Do
We supply, fabricate, and install. The same team manages every step. Our Alexandria showroom is eight minutes from Double Bay and displays every surface at full 1600 by 3200mm size. Come and see what you are actually choosing before you commit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I see natural marble slabs at full size before choosing?
Yes. Every slab in our showroom is displayed at full 1600 by 3200mm. Natural stone especially needs to be seen at full size because the character of the veining is completely different at scale than it is on a 300mm sample.
What edge profiles do you offer?
We offer a full range including square, eased, bevelled, waterfall, and custom profiles. We will show you samples at your consultation and recommend what suits your cabinetry and the overall design direction of your kitchen.
Do you work with interior designers?
Yes. We work regularly with Double Bay and Eastern Suburbs interior designers on residential projects. We welcome designer introductions and can provide pricing and material information for project specifications.
What warranty do you provide?
Two-year workmanship warranty on all fabrication and installation. Sintered stone products carry manufacturer warranties of ten or more years depending on the brand. Natural stone care advice is provided at installation.
How long from consultation to installation?
Typically two to four weeks for a standard residential project. We confirm the timeline precisely at consultation based on your project complexity and our current schedule.
