White is not a single colour in stone. It is a family of surfaces with distinct characters — some cold and pure, some soft and creamy, some active with movement, some quietly still. The sintered stone whites we carry at Dulux Marble and Stone cover the full range, from the hard geometric quiet of Pure White through to the organic flowing movement of Cold River Snow.
Sydney kitchens and bathrooms have an enduring preference for white surfaces. The reasons are practical as much as aesthetic: white surfaces read as clean, reflect light in smaller rooms, and remain visually current through changes in other interior elements. Choosing the right white for your specific brief is one of the more nuanced material decisions in a renovation, and it is one we are experienced at guiding.
Our White Sintered Stone Collection
Choosing Between White Sintered Stone Surfaces
The most common error in choosing a white sintered stone is selecting at small sample size. A 100mm tile will not tell you how Cold River Snow reads at 3200mm width with the movement running through a kitchen. It will not show you the difference in light response between Pure White and Creamy White at different times of day. This is why we display every white surface at full slab size in our showroom.
As a general guide: if your cabinetry is cool-toned (white-grey, charcoal, deep blue) go toward Pure White or Classic Snowflake White. If your cabinetry is warm-toned (timber, warm grey, sage) go toward Creamy White or Taj Mahal. If you want a white that has movement and character, Cold River Snow or Super White Dolomite. If you want an elevated white without being obvious about it, Premium Elegant White.
Cold River Snow: The Continuous Pattern White
Cold River Snow is among the more unusual whites in our collection. The patterning runs continuously across the slab — no repetition, no tile-like sectioning — with a directional flow that gives the surface genuine movement. In a kitchen where the slab runs the full length of the benchtop, this continuous quality becomes an asset. The surface reads as a single coherent piece rather than a tiled assembly.
It is particularly effective in open-plan spaces where the benchtop is visible from a distance. The movement in Cold River Snow registers at range in a way that more static whites do not.
Super White Dolomite: The Designer's White
Genuine Super White dolomite quarried in Brazil is one of the most sought-after stone surfaces in Sydney. It is also expensive, porous, and requires careful maintenance. The sintered stone version delivers the same aesthetic — a white base with fine grey movement that is warmer than Carrara and more resolved than most Calacattas — with none of the upkeep. It is the white most frequently specified by Sydney interior designers who know the material category well.

What is the difference between Pure White and Creamy White sintered stone?
Pure White is a clean, cool, achromatic white with no warmth and no movement. Creamy White has a warmer undertone — not yellow but white with body. In a cool, minimal kitchen Pure White is the stronger choice. With warm timber cabinetry or a natural material palette, Creamy White reads more resolved.
Is Cold River Snow a continuous-pattern sintered stone?
Yes. The patterning in Cold River Snow runs continuously across the slab without repetition. This is distinct from most sintered stone surfaces where the pattern tiles and repeats. For long benchtops or feature walls where the full width is visible, continuous-pattern surfaces read as more resolved and architectural.
How does Super White Dolomite sintered stone compare to real Super White?
Genuine Super White dolomite is a natural stone that requires annual sealing, is sensitive to acids, and can etch or stain. The sintered stone version replicates the aesthetic — white base with fine grey movement — with full non-porosity, no sealing requirement, and heat resistance. The practical performance advantage is significant for a family kitchen or high-use surface.
Which white sintered stone works best with timber cabinetry?
Creamy White and Super White Dolomite both work well with warm timber tones. Creamy White because its warm undertone complements rather than contrasts timber, and Super White Dolomite because the grey movement adds depth without conflicting with wood grain. Taj Mahal (see our separate article) is also an excellent option if you want warmth in the benchtop surface alongside timber joinery.
Can white sintered stone be used outdoors?
Yes. All sintered stone surfaces are UV-stable and rated for outdoor use. White sintered stone in an alfresco kitchen or outdoor entertaining area is practical — it does not fade in UV, does not require sealing, and wipes down easily. Gloss or polished finishes will show water marks more in outdoor settings; matte or velvet finishes are more forgiving.
What warranty is included on white sintered stone?
All white sintered stone products at Dulux Marble and Stone include a 10-year material warranty. Fabrication and installation carried out by our team is covered by a 5-year fabrication guarantee.
